Same-day attention for problems that should not wait for a routine appointment but are not life-threatening emergencies:
- Vomiting or diarrhoea that has persisted
- Limping or a sudden inability to bear weight
- Ear and eye discomfort
- Skin problems, hot spots, allergic reactions
- Wounds that are not bleeding severely
- Urinary discomfort — but a pet straining with no urine produced is an emergency, and males block more often than females
